About Name a Hundred
Last updated: September 11, 2026
What this site is
Name a Hundred (nameahundred.com) is a free collection of timed naming challenges. You pick a category — people, places, animals, flowers, and more — type names from memory, and we check answers as you go. The timer runs up with no hard cutoff. No account is required.
Some categories validate against Wikidata; others use curated answer pools. Either way, the point is the same: how many can you name?
Why it exists
Blank-list recall games are fun in a stream or classroom, but arguing about who "counts" kills the round. This site keeps the format — type from memory, race the clock — with live checks so you can play solo or share a score without negotiating every answer.
We also publish reference lists and cheat sheets so you can study a category, then come back and try from memory.
Independence
Name a Hundred is an independent project. It is not affiliated with Wikidata, Wikimedia, Twitch, or any streamer who has run a "name 100" segment. Knowledge graph data belongs to Wikidata contributors.
