Can you name 100 presidents?
Everyone can name a few US presidents. Fewer people can retrieve a hundred heads of state titled president with the textbook closed. The first twenty are tentpoles. Then you remember a flag and cannot retrieve the name that flew it.
This is that blank list. Type the person; Wikidata checks the office. US presidents alone are fewer than 100 — this is the world list. A prime minister belongs nowhere here. Shared format: What is the Name 100 challenge?.
The office, not every famous name
“George Washington” counts. “Winston Churchill” does not — he was a prime minister. A company CEO titled president fails. The broader people list is Name 100 Men and Name 100 Women.
What counts
- Type the person’s usual English name — “George Washington”, “Emmanuel Macron”.
- Wikidata heads of state titled president count. Prime ministers and company presidents do not.
- Each person once. Another spelling of the same Wikidata entry is rejected.
- No hard cutoff. Timer starts on your first submit. Finish anytime, or the round ends at 100.
How to Play
- Type a president’s English name and submit.
- We check Wikidata for the political office — not every famous name.

- Hit Finish anytime to share your score.
Country by country, then the leftovers
Do the US list first, then France, then Latin America, then Africa. US presidents alone are fewer than 100 — you need the world list. After the living names, force a pass of 20th-century offices. A prime minister fails here.
Frequently Asked Questions
What presidents count?
Real people Wikidata records as holding a head-of-state presidency — any country, living or historical. Use the common English name.
Is this only US presidents?
No. There are not 100 unique US presidents. This is the world list: Washington counts, and so do presidents of France, Brazil, Kenya, and the rest.
Do prime ministers count?
No. Churchill and Trudeau fail unless Wikidata also files them as a president. Company CEOs titled “president” fail too.
Do vice presidents count?
Usually no. A US vice president who never held the top office fails here — this list is heads of state titled president. They still count on Name 100 Men if you want the broader people list.
Is this the same as name 100 men?
No. Men is any man in Wikidata. Presidents is the office. Many presidents are men; the blank list is narrower.
Why was my name rejected?
Often it is a prime minister, a monarch, a vice president who never held the top office, or a corporate president. Try a head of state titled president.
Is there a time limit?
No hard cutoff. Race yourself with an upward-running timer.
Is this challenge free?
Yes. Free in the browser, no signup.
