Can you name 100 capitals?
Everyone can find France on a map. Fewer people can retrieve a hundred capital cities with the atlas closed. The first twenty are the postcard seats: Paris, Tokyo, London. Then you remember a flag and cannot retrieve the city that flies it.
This is that blank list. Type the city; Wikidata checks whether it is a capital. “Washington” is enough — you do not need the official long form. The city, not the country
“Paris” counts. “France” does not. Continents do not. A huge city that is not a seat — New York, Sydney, Shanghai — usually fails. National capitals count; many state and provincial capitals count too, if Wikidata files them as capital of something. A huge city that is not a seat belongs on Try: Name 100 Cities. What counts

Continent sweep, then the leftovers
Do Europe’s obvious list first, then Africa, Asia, the Americas, Oceania. After Paris and Tokyo, force a pass of smaller seats: Ouagadougou, Thimphu, Funafuti. If “France” fails, type Paris. Mexico, Singapore, and Vatican can already count as the seat.

What capitals count?
Cities Wikidata records as a capital — usually via “capital of”, or typed as a capital. Use the common English city name.
Can I type the country instead?
Not for France, Spain, or other country-only names — those belong on Name 100 Countries. If the word is also how people name the seat (Mexico, Singapore, Vatican), it can pass. Continents and demonyms fail.
Do US state capitals count?
Yes, if Wikidata lists that city as capital of a state or country. National capitals and many state / provincial seats can both pass.
Is this the same as name 100 countries?
No. Countries is the country name. Capitals is the seat. Same geography habit, different blank list.
Why was my name rejected?
Often it is a country, a continent, or a large city that is not a capital (New York, Sydney). Those big cities belong on Name 100 Cities. Short forms of a real capital (Washington) should pass — you do not need “Washington D.C.”
Is there a time limit?
No hard cutoff. Race yourself with an upward-running timer.
