Can you name 100 elements?
Everyone remembers H, O, and Fe from a school poster. Fewer people can retrieve a hundred periodic-table names with the wall chart closed. The first twenty are lab words. Then you remember a symbol and cannot retrieve the English name.
This is that blank list. Type the element; Wikidata checks whether it is a chemical element. “Water” is a compound. “Steel” is an alloy. Shared format: What is the Name 100 challenge?.
The element, not the compound
“Oxygen” counts. “Water” does not. “Gold” the metal can pass; a gold color does not. Common symbols such as Fe can pass and count as the same element as Iron. There are a little over a hundred official elements, so name 100 is almost the full table.

- Chemical elements in Wikidata count. Compounds, alloys, and planets do not.
- Each element once. Another spelling of the same Wikidata entry is rejected.

Groups first, then the leftovers
Do the ones you can see: H, O, C, N, Fe, Au. Then walk groups — noble gases, alkali metals, then the lanthanides if you still need volume. There are a little over a hundred official elements, so 100 is almost the full table. “Water” and “steel” fail; “Mercury” the element can pass.

Do symbols count, or only full names?
Both can pass. “Iron” and “Fe” should resolve to the same element and count once.

Yes — a blank-list recall of chemical elements, not a click-the-square table and not a compounds quiz.
How many elements are there?
A little over a hundred confirmed elements. Naming 100 here is almost the full table. There is no hard cutoff on the timer.
Why was my name rejected?
Often it is a compound (water), an alloy (steel), a planet (Mercury the planet if that hit first — try the element name), or a word that is not an element. Use the periodic-table name.
